Peanut Butter Cookies


  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup (packed) brown sugar or 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

In a large bowl beat butter and peanut butter with electric mixer on high speed for 30 seconds

Add sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, and baking powder. Beat until combined

Beat in egg and vanilla until combined

Beat in as much flour as you can with the mixer and stir remaining.

Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet

Flatten by making crisscross marks with a fork

Bake: 375°
Time: 7 to 9 minutes or until bottom is lightly browned


  • Roll ball into sugar to coat before flattening with fork
  • Drizzle melted chocolate over cooled cookie
